EMPOWER GIRLS THROUGH EDUCATION BY PROVIDING ADEQUATE EDUCATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Over the years, the Alumnae of Owerri Girls’ Secondary School (OGSS) all over the world and in Nigeria have, with the help of friends like you, made significant contributions in the effort to improve the standard of living and learning of the young students. We have constructed new classroom blocks, renovated and furnished the Dining room/Refectory, provided potable water by digging a borehole with serving overhead water tanks, and constructed modern bathroom and toilet facilities, and provided much needed medical supplies, equipment, and drugs for the infirmary, etc.

However, we soon realized the need and wisdom to come together under the umbrella of a National body to better address the continuing challenges of post-civil war OGSS in a more systematic, efficient, coordinated, and sustained manner. Hence our motto: TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
